Head Band over the Swim Cap

Selah has a head-band thing. She likes to wear one day and night. When she wakes up in the morning, she calls for me, asks for milk and cartoons then does a head-band check before getting out of bed. Sometimes it falls off while she is sleeping (imagine that) and we have to find it before anything else is done.

This week pics

Eden spits up a lot

Selah and Daddy try to ride about twice a week. If you'll notice a white thing on her helmet, it's her headband. She loves to wear her headband, even if it means going over her helmet.

Fun with friends.

The BEST homemade brownies ever!

(I couldn't get the camera to focus on the brownies--someone in the background was too distracting)

I don’t often find recipes worthy of sharing with anyone that might visit our blog, but this one is the best recipe for homemade brownies that I have ever made or tasted. Those that live in places where brownie mixes are not available will be very excited to try this recipe. I can barely taste the difference between these brownies and the classic box mix. And just when you thought there couldn’t be any better news than this, let me inform you that this is a VEGAN recipe…so I can enjoy as many of these brownies as I want, which is many more than I should eat. I found them on a vegan website

I’ve made these brownies 2 times in the past two days. They’re easy and quick—if you have ground flax seed on hand. Try them and let me know what you think.

Vegan Brownies

1 cup organic sugar ( I used regular)
1 cup organic unbleached flour (I used regular)
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
¼ cup canola oil (I used sunflower oil)
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup unsweetend cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt

Mix wet ingredients, then dump in all the dry…don’t over mix.
Bake in a greased 8X8 baking pan at 350°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes.

They’re supposed to look gooey!

Aunt Aleshia came to see us!

Eden says 'HI!'

She started rolling onto her side from her back this week...using an arched back to maneuver her way around.

This is how she looks at something that is above her head...with the arched back.

Selah excited about going swimming yesterday. She was the most uninhibited she has ever been while in the baby pool yesterday. She walked around without holding anyone's hand and jumped to me (without holding my hands before jumping).
Aunt Aleshia (my older sister) arrived on Saturday. Selah has enjoyed playing with her, reading new books together and pretending to drive to Bible study using the dining room chairs as a car. She sets them up in 2 rows of 2 and using the steering wheel that goes with the Wii. In the above picture Selah has fun pretending to be a unicorn with the water noodle, while Auntie Lesh sports a new necklace--which can also be used to look at Eden in the backseat from the rear view mirror in the car.
